Product Description
LOW VISCOSITY HIGH STRENGTH INJECTABLE GROUT
DESCRIPTION
Hind ERS 21 is a two component solvent free low viscous fast curing epoxy resin system comprising of Component A (Resin) and Component B (Hardener). It is designed especially for pressure injection into concrete for carrying structural repairs and base plate grouting. Hind ERS 21 is supplied in pre-measured quantities, and conforms to BS-6319.
USES
Hind ERS 21 is ready to use for pressure injection into concrete for structural repairs and filling up gaps in base plate in bridges, factory shed etc. The system possess the properties like low viscosity, non-shrink, free flowing and pourable, hence it find various usages in sealing of crack through injection operation, in expansion joint, floor joint, pavement joint and base plate grouting, etc.
ADVANTAGES
Hind ERS 21 is very useful in concrete such as
- It can be injected into extremely fine cracks and small cavities.
- It has high compressive strength, tensile and flexural strength.
- Excellent bonding and adhesion.
- For filling up gaps of small height between Concrete & Base Plate.
- No shrinkage during curing.
- Like all epoxy resin system it has high chemical resistance.
- Cured material is not brittle and remains slightly flexible.
- Reduce thermal expansion co efficient thus improves thermal conductivity.
APPLICATION
Surface Preparation: Before application surface preparation is important, surface should be cleaned, dry, free from loose particles, oil, grease or other foreign materials, injection nipples are fixed in a square grid maximum 500 to 800 mm c/c depending on the cracks and nature of concrete, if required for effective treatment, the grid may be reduced. Before the injection starts all cracks and crevices are to be sealed with Hind ERS 21 mortar and surface sealing is to be done for other porous areas.
Mixing:
Mix 1 part by wt of Component B (Hardener) with 2 parts by wt of Component A (Resin) i.e. Mixing Ratio = Component A: Component B = 2:1 (by wt). Mix at least 5 minutes to uniform color without any steak using a drill and paddle mixed (speed 200 RPM) so as to avoid any entrapped air. Comp B is to be poured in Comp A and stirred gently.
Injection: The grout mixture should be pumped by a positive displacement plunger type pump. Inject at slow and even pressure through the injecting nipples till refusal or when the grout oozes out from nipple immediately adjacent to or above the one being injected.
Cleaning:
Clean all tools & equipment immediately after use with, Xylene, Toluene or suitable solvent.

Product Description
ADVANTAGES
- 1. Free flowing and non-shrink system.
- 2. Resistance to acids and alkalis.
- 3. Moisture insensitive
- 4. Useful and helps rapid installation process with high strength.
- 5. Very useful in sealing wider cracks
MIX RATIO
Component A – 2 parts by weight: Component B -1 parts by weight: Component C- 2 parts by weight.
APPLICATION
Preparation of Surface
The area to be treated should be properly cleaned by wire brush. Injection ports/nozzles are fixed at a regular spacing. The ports/nozzles to be sealed on the surface to prevent the grout from oozing out at the time of injection operation. It can be directly poured into wider cracks to fill it by gravity.
Mixing
Component-B Polyamide Hardener and Component –A Resin are mixed at first, then Component C Special Aggregate is slowly mixed well, so as not to entrap air into the product. Mixing is done for 2-3 minutes using a drill and paddle (maximum 200-300 R.P.M.).Only required quantity of material to be mixed for immediate use. The mixed material should be kept undisturbed for 2-3 minutes, so that if any entrapped air is there it escapes from the mix.
Injection
The grout mixture is pumped through the ports/nozzles fixed by means of positive displacement pump till there is refusal from the nozzle or the mixture comes out of the adjacent nozzle.
Cleaning: Clean all tools & equipment immediately after use with, Xylene, Toluene or suitable solvent.

APPLICATION
Surface Preparation
Concrete Surface: The surface of application has to be sound and made free from all dust, dirt, loose & greasy materials and the moisture content of the surface has to be checked. The moisture content can be checked either by a Hygrometer or by an air tight polythene sheet to ensure that no moisture is accumulated in 24 hours for using as grout the grooves should be cut uniformly by a machine tool, dust should be completely removed by suitable method and properly mixed Hind ERS 216 (UV) should be gently poured to ensure free flow of the material to fill the groove.
Mixing
Hind ERS 216 (UV) is mixed in small batches taking 2 parts component ‘A’, 1 part component ‘B’ , 6 parts of component ‘C’ and 0.50 part of component ‘D’ taking their weights with a weighing machine. Pre weighted Component ‘A’ has to be poured in a mixing pot first and then component ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ are to be poured simultaneously and the mix is to be stirred very slowly. When the mix is uniform the low viscous liquid has to be applied/poured on the prepared surface by tooling gently.
