Product Description
USES
On pavements and floors where hardness, anti-skid, abrasion and impact resistance properties are required, e.g. foot paths, godowns and ware houses where metal wheeled carts ply, runway, heavy traffic lanes, service stations, parking lots, skating ring, playing courts, garages and workshops, foundries, steel casting units, etc.

APPLICATION
For Light duty floor
The substrate concrete on which Hind Emetop M is to be broadcast, should be at least M-20 grade, prepared with a low water-cement ratio, preferably admixed with a water reducing plasticizer like Hind Plast Super. After the bleed water has evaporated a dry mix of 1 part Hind Emetop M and 4 parts of cement has to be sprinkled and finished with steel trowel.
Broadcasting is to be done by hand and immediately the floor top should be smoothened either by hand trowel or mechanically, over-trowelling should be strictly avoided. Finishing should be done competently and power float can be used, if desired. Curing to be done as per standard practice for 28 days. The floor can be open to light vehicular traffic from 7 days onwards and full use after 28 days. The Thickness of the hard top flooring varies from 3 to 6 mm over a substrate concrete of 35 to 45 mm.
For Heavy duty floor
The substrate concrete on which Hind Emetop M is to be broadcast, should be at least M-20 grade, prepared with a low water-cement ratio, preferably admixed with a water reducing plasticizer like Hind Plast Super RP. After the bleed water has evaporated a mix of 1 part Hind Emetop M and 4 parts of cement 2 parts of 6mm down aggregate to be mixed with 0.45 w/c ratio has to be laid and finished with steel trowel.
Broadcasting is to be done by hand and immediately the floor top should be smoothened either by hand trowel or mechanically, over- trowelling should be strictly avoided. Finishing should be done competently and power float can be used, if desired. Curing to be done as per standard practice for 28 days. The floor can be open to light vehicular traffic from 7 days onwards and for full use after 28 days. The thickness of hard top flooring varies from 10 to 12 mm to be laid over a substrate of 38 to 40 mm

Product Description
USES
Hind Emetop NM when trowelled into the surface of concrete floors forms a toughened hard-wearing surface suitable for industrial use. It is recommended for factory floors, warehouse, hangers and car parks that are subjected to heavy traffic and high concentration electrical installations.

APPLICATION
Hind Emetop NM is dry mixed in the ratio of 2:1 with cement, broadcast evenly over the surface of freshly laid concrete and then trowel led to an uniform and smooth finish. The floor concrete should be structurally sound and placed in accordance with good concrete practices. The Water: Cement ratio should be kept to a minimum consistency with the need to produce a fully compacted concrete without excess water coming to the surface. Particular care must be taken at the corners and edges of bays, hand ramming and firm trowelling being carried out to ensure that the level can be maintained throughout the subsequent trowelling operations.
Two bags (100kg) of Hind Emetop NM one bag (50 kg) of Portland cement should be thoroughly dry mixed on a clean, flat surface. Water must not be added.
The Hind Emetop NM /Cement mix should be broadcast in two equal stages evenly over the surface of freshly laid concrete as soon as the surface water has evaporated. Immediately after each stage of broadcasting of Hind Emetop NM /Cement mixture the first trowelling should be carried out, either by hand or by means of a power float. When the surface has sufficiently stiffened a second trowelling should be given to close any pores and remove any undulation in the surface. This be followed by a final hand trowelling to remove any disc mark. The floor must be thoroughly cured.
COVERAGE
This varies from 3 to 7 Kg per m2 depending on the type of floor as follows:

Note: The amount are for Hind Emetop NM only, it must be mixed with 50% Portland cement before it is applied to the floor surface. The Concrete floor on which it has to applied should be Minimum of grade M-20.

Hind Emetop RTU when trowel led into the surface of concrete floors forms a toughened hard-wearing surface suitable for industrial use. It is recommended for factory floors, warehouse, hangers and car parks that are subjected to heavy traffic.
ADVANTAGES
- 1. Provides build in wear resistance and produces high abrasion resistant floor surface.
- 2. Impact resistance twice that of plain concrete.
- 3. Three times greater surface density than plain concrete which increases resistance to penetration by oil, grease, hydraulic fluids, ethylene, glycol and many industrial chemicals.
- 4. May be used for open and continuously wet areas.
- 5. Non-rusting and easy maintenance.
- 6. Fast construction with minimum site costs for materials handling and non-bonding problems.
APPLICATION
Hind Emetop RTU should be broadcast in two equal stages evenly over the surface of freshly laid concrete as soon as the surface water has evaporated. Immediately after each stage of broadcasting of Hind Emetop RTU the first trowelling should be carried out, either by hand or by means of a power float. DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Surface Preparation
The surface has to be dry, sound & free from loose particles. This can be achieved by grit blasting or Sand blasting or grinding and water Jetting. The surface should not have moisture content of more than 4 % . The surface should not contain any laitance, grease, oil or any other contamination.
Mixing:
The pre-weighed ready to use components of Hind Coat Prime are mixed thoroughly with a mechanical stirrer having a rpm of 300-350.The mixing should be done till we get a homogenous colour of the mixed material (about 2 to 5 Minutes).The material is brushed on the well prepared surface by a standard paint brush, good quality lamb wool roller or sprayed with an air less spray equipment. Care should be taken to ensure continuous film & proper material consumption.
Cleaning: Clean all tools & equipment immediately using suitable solvent.
COVERAGE
The coverage will be 4 to 5 m2 per kg. Coverage varies depending upon substrate condition.
SHELF LIFE
For best result use before 12 months if it is in unopened condition at a cool & dry place.

HANDLING PRECAUTION

Product Description
CHEMICAL RESISTANT HIGH BUILD EPOXY COATING
DESCRIPTION
Hind Coat FC is a Solvent less high build epoxy resin coating which provides long term protection to concrete and mild steel substrates against chemical corrosion. It has high resistance to abrasion and makes the floor surface dust free. The cured surface is hard, smooth and gives a glazed tile like finish. It is joint less and will not support bacterial growth. It has excellent resistance to abrasion and is easily cleaned and sterilized.

AREA OF APPLICATION
For long term protection of concrete and mild steel substrates against erosion and chemical attack. It is recommended for areas subjected to foot traffic and wheel barrows with pneumatic wheel.

APPLICATION METHODOLOGY
Hind Coat FC will have excellent adhesion to the substrate if the surface is sound, free of dust, grease, oil etc.Concrete surface must be even and free of pot holes. Remove all laitance by abrading or wire brushing. Remove all the dust from the surface. If the surface is contaminated by oil or grease, wash with dilute Hydrochloric acid. Wash the floor with clean water till the surface is free from acid. Allow to dry before Hind Coat FC is applied (Consult our Technical Service Department for advice).
PRIMING
All surface should be primed using Hind Coat Prime @ 250 gm./M2. Allow the primer to dry for 4-6 hours till it is touch dry. Mix primer Component A&B thoroughly and apply.
COATING
Mix together Hind Coat FC Component A&B thoroughly using a pallet knife or an electrical drill mixer till a homogeneous uniform color is obtained. Unmixed material will not cure properly and will fail in performance.
After the primer has dried, apply Hind Coat – FC by brush or roller to the required thickness. Hind Coat FC is a high build coating.A thickness of 250 micron can be applied in one application. But it is advisable to apply two coats at right angle to each other. This way any blemishes in the first coat will get covered by the second coat. Allow first coat to become tack free before second coat is applied.
RECOMMENDED THICKNESS
Thickness will depend on the condition of the surface and on the type of use. In general thickness varies from 150 microns to 350 microns.

All floors which are subjected to spillage of corrosive chemicals, the spillage should be removed immediately by washing with water.
COLOUR RANGE
Hind Coat FC is available in six colors: Ivory, Brick red, Olive green, Light grey, Mid blue and Yellow. The shades below show approximate colors only. While every effort is made in manufacturing to maintain consistency of color, Exact Color matching between batches cannot be guaranteed.

The coverage will be 2.5 to 4 M2 / Kg per coat.

Clean all tools immediately after use with Xylene. Do not let the material to harden.

Hind FLC E is extensively used as flooring and wall coating in Pharmaceuticals, Printing Industries, Food Processing Plants, Workshops, Tea Blending Plants, Chemical resistant linings to tanks and reservoirs etc.

APPLICATION
Surface Preparation
Concrete Surface: The surface of application has to be sound and made free from all dust, dirt, loose & greasy materials and the moisture content of the surface has to be checked. The moisture content can be checked either by a Hygrometer or by an air tight polythene sheet to ensure that no moisture is accumulated in 24 hours.
Metal Surface: Any previous surface treatment should be removed to get back the original metal surface by means of sand blasting. If blasting is not possible descalling guns or rotary wire brush may be used to get the original metal surface. It should be noted that the surface should not get re-oxidised before coating with Hind FLC E.
Mixing: Hind FLC E is mixed in small batches taking 2 parts component ‘A’, 1 part component ‘ B ‘ and 0.50 part of component ‘C’ taking their weights with a weighing machine. Pre weighted Component ‘A’ has to be poured in a mixing pot first and then component ‘B’ and ‘C’ are to be poured simultaneously and the mix is to be stirred very slowly. When the mix is uniform the paint has to be applied on the prepared surface with a good quality painting brush .The 2nd. Coat can be applied after drying of 1stststcoat at an interval of minimum 6 hours.
Note: Care should be taken that at the place of coating the air blow is minimized to prevent dust accumulation on wet coating.

Hind Actcolor is recommended to be used on concrete floor which needs to be stain resistant, chemical resistant. It is ideal for concrete courtyards in Real Estate Project, Industrial floors in Car manufacturing factory, Pharmaceutical factory, Food product manufacturing unit, Beverage/Bottling Plants, Dam Power House floors etc. etc. It offers High performance-high solids-high pigment loading-Fast drying. It conforms to ASTM D 870 for blistering, adhesion and discoloration. Passes ASTM D 2795 standards for gasoline and motor oil resistance. It also conforms to abrasion resistance standard as per ASTM D 4060.

STAIN RESISTANCE
Smooth –troweled concrete treated with Hind Actcolor coating was tested for stain resistance from various substances. These compounds were checked at regular intervals upto 24 hours to determine the amount of penetration/staining after checking with a non-abrasive, neutral pH cleaner. After cleaning , the stain was evaluated according to the following scale with ‘0’ indicating no change in the appearance of the stain and ‘10’ indicating the stain was completely removed.

Special conditions for application: Horizontal masonry & concrete substrate only. Keep dry for 24 hours after installation. Do not allow standing water to dwell on surface for 7 days. do not allow traffic until protective coating surface is completely dry, generally 30 – 60 minutes under typical interior conditions.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES & INSTRUCTIONS
Substrate Preparation: Cement Concrete/Cementitious products
For long term placement create a rough surface profile using diamond grind about #180 for Clean and neutralization. The surface must be dry, free of surface containments and in sound condition. Grease and oil should be removed as per ASTM D 4258-83 and release agents should be removed as per ASTM D 425-88.
Refer to SPC-SP13/NACE No. 6 mechanical or chemical surface preparation methods for preparing concrete to suitable cleanliness for intended service. Surface preparation methods should impart sufficient surface profile for mechanical adhesion to occur. Ensure surface is thoroughly rinsed and dry prior to preparation and application. Uneven concrete substrate, scratches and cracks are to be repaired with polymer mortar to achieve the smoothness. Mask Areas that do not receive the coating topcoat finish and surface hardener is to be protected from over spray.
Important Instructions:
♠ Complete mixing is essential for good product performance. It is necessary to use a paint-mixing tool mounted on a drill motor or machine agitation (paint shaker) to mix this paint. Mix well and after mixing the coating to be applied immediately.
♠ Spray first coat and work in surface with stiff broom or scrubbing pad on a scrubbing machine.
STEPS FOR APPLICATION
At first concrete is to be poured mixed with surface hardener and allowed to cure for 28 days to achieve the targeted compressive strength. Secondly application of Hind Actcolor top to be done by rake attached sponge brush. Consumption varies from 0.03 ~ 0.04 Kg/m2 . More than 2-3 hours curing under 200 C make the surface ready for next coating stage. In case the application is done in high moisture environment ventilation must be provided to dry and curing of the coating. The second coat of Hind Actcolor to be applied by rake attached sponge brush and the consistency of the coated color to be ensured as like the first coat. Consumption varies from 0.025 ~ 0.03 Kg/m2 . After curing for 2-3 hours under the same conditions like the first coat the surface becomes ready for application of the Hind Actcolor Sealed coat. The application of the sealed coat is done by the same method and allowed to full cure. Consumption varies from 0.02 ~ 0.25 Kg/m2 . Finally the fully cured surface is polished properly by the floor polishing machine attached with scrubbing pad.
COVERAGE
200 ~ 250 m2 / 18 kg ( 0.09kg/m2 ) depending on the porosity of the substrate and the finish.
MAINTENANCE
Routine sweeping, mopping, washing and mechanical scrubbing of floor with water and neutral pH cleaners (if necessary) are recommended. Water only is sufficient for most environments.
Note: Do not use cleaners that are acidic or that have citrus(de-limonene) or Butyl compounds. Although Hind Actcolor, coating is chemically resistant and helps reduce staining, its application in specific chemical environments and some acidic concentrates, may etch the surface causing a residual stain. If unsure check with a conversant concrete technical representative. Regular maintenance and cleaning will help prolong surface shine. Wipe up any chemical spills as soon as possible. Always test adhesion and performance for suitability and desired results before application.

HANDLING PRECAUTION
Hind Actcolor is an aqueous Lithium Silicate solution and alkaline in nature and may cause eye & skin irritation. Use hand gloves and goggles while applying the same. Avoid ingestion and prolonged skin contact. If contact with eyes occur wash immediately with clean water and seek medical advice. At the time of application workmen should be cautious because Hind Actcolor applied wet surfaces are slippery.

APPLICATION
Surface Preparation: The surface should be sound, dry, free from all dust, dirt, greasy spots before application of primer.
For New concrete surfaces- New concrete surfaces should be at least cured for 28 days, all laitance should be removed by wire brushing, grinding etc. The moisture content of the surface should be restricted within 5 %.
For Old Concrete/ Floor surface : Old concrete surfaces should be properly cleaned from all depositions dust, dirt, greasy spots preferably by mechanical method . Care should be taken that the floor is properly cleaned from all dust to ensure bonding of the primer.
Priming:
Prior to application of Hind Selfloor 1000 the prepared surface should be given a coat of Hind Coat Prime as per specification. Curing of the primer to become tack free is required for at least 6 hrs but it depends upon the ambient temperature. Preferably the application of Hind Selfloor 1000 is to be done after 24 hrs from application of primer.
Mixing:
Hind Selfloor 1000 is available in pre weighted two component packs. The Comp- B is to be mixed with Comp-A in a clean mixing vessel and mixed for approximately 60 seconds with a slow speed mixing paddle.
Laying:
The mixed material is then laid over pre measured surface designed for getting the desired thickness and spread evenly with a notched trowel. Once the entire material is laid rolling by a nylon spiked roller is to be done to remove trowel marks and to release the air. The roller should be moved to and fro for the entire length and subsequent rolling in the next row is to be done with a overlap on the previous row. The entire operation is to be completed within the pot life of the mixed material.
Note: The application of Hind Selfloor 1000 is to be done with specialized applicator equipped with the Tools required and experienced for laying epoxy flooring systems. It should not be applied to floors at ground level where rising dampness may occur or at places where the temperature is more than 500C.
Cleaning:
The cleaning of all tools is to be done by organic solvent like Xylene.
